Wilkes University To Offer Three Degrees In Five Years To Maricopa Community College District Partners

Wilkes University will offer a unique degree completion program to partners in the Maricopa County Community College District.  The 3-in-5 program offers an accelerated pathway to an advanced degree, allowing students to complete an associate, bachelor’s and business master’s degree in just five years. The new program furthers Wilkes’ commitment to Mesa and the greater Phoenix area.

Students will enroll in one of the Maricopa Community Colleges, earning an associate in business or associate in applied science in a business-related field in two years.  The next two years will be spent completing a bachelor’s degree in business administration at Wilkes University. Upon completion, acceptance into the Wilkes MBA program is guaranteed, which will take one year to complete with summer semesters.

For the transfer program, full-time tuition is $14,875 before scholarships and federal financial aid.  The competitive scholarships Wilkes offers allow students to qualify for up to $8,000 in awards.  With financial aid, they can pay as little as $1,100 per semester.  The Wilkes MBA program offers scholarships up to half of the tuition price, meaning qualified students can earn their MBA for approx. $16,000.

Wilkes has a long history of providing students with the skills needed to succeed in the workplace. The Wilkes business program emphasizes leadership through the personal and professional development classes that emphasize leading by doing.  Students work in teams to create and launch their own business.  This, along with an internship requirement, gives students the practical business experience needed to succeed in today’s competitive business environment.

In its location in downtown Mesa, Wilkes offers bachelor’s degrees in accounting, entrepreneurship, finance, management, marketing and sports management for transfer students.  Students already pursuing their associate degree at a Maricopa Community College can schedule a transfer evaluation to determine their pathway in the 3-in-5 program.
