Wilkes University Nesbitt School of Pharmacy Recognized as Top Five School in American Pharmacists Association’s Pharmacists Provide Care Campaign
The Wilkes University Nesbitt School of Pharmacy has been recognized as a top five
school with the highest rate of participation in the American Pharmacists Association’s
Pharmacists Provide Care Campaign. The campaign’s mission is to lobby congressional
support to grant pharmacists provider status in federal law. Provider status would
enable Medicare beneficiaries to access pharmacist-provided services under Medicare
Part B.
The American Pharmacists Association is the largest association of pharmacists in the United States, with more than 62,000 practicing pharmacists, pharmaceutical scientists, student pharmacists and pharmacy technicians as members. The association is dedicated to helping all pharmacists improve medication use and advance patient care.
