Wilkes University Flute Ensemble Presents Concert on Dec. 7

Wilkes University’s Flute Ensemble presents a concert at the Dorothy Dickson Darte Center for the Performing Arts on Dec. 7, at 7:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Just in time for Christmas, the ensemble will perform the traditional “Carol of the Bells.” Other pieces to be performed include Camille Saint-Saëns’ “Danse Macabre,” Johann Strauss II’s overture to “Die Fledermaus,” Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Brandenburg Concerto No. 4: Presto” and Katherine Hoover’s “Three for Eight.” Other pieces on the program are Peter Martin’s “Mixing the Malt” and James-Michael Sellers’ “Aztec Sunrise.” Adjunct music faculty member Alicia Lindsey conducts.
