Eric Campros, Choreographer for Usher, Backstreet Boys, Teaches Master Classes at Wilkes University, Nov. 23 and Dec. 7
Dancers in northeast Pennsylvania will have the chance to study with veteran dance
choreographer Eric Campros, when he teaches two master classes in contemporary dance
at Wilkes University, presented by the University’s division of performing arts.
The class, which will run from 10 a.m. to noon both days it is offered, will be held in the Dorothy Dickson Darte Center for the Performing Arts. It is open to the public for a fee of $15 per participant. Reservations are necessary and can be made by calling 570-408-4420.
The New York City-based Campros has performed alongside everyone from The Backstreet Boys and Usher to Lil’ Kim and Aaliyah, and has appeared at events such as the MTV Video Music Awards, the Grammy Awards and the BET Awards. He also appeared in the smash-hit musical “Grease” on Broadway and the Bollywood movie musical “Jaaneman.”
Campros has danced in commercials and industrial films for companies including Old Navy, Nike, Target, Toyota, Nissan, Propel Water, Stouffers, Aventis Pharmaceuticals and Wrangler Jeans. He currently choreographs shows for Carnival Entertainment and teaches at conventions throughout the United States and Canada.
He has worked with students at the prestigious Hebei Art Institute in Shijiazhuang, Hebei, China, as well as Shandong Art College in Shandong. Campros is also the Artistic Director of Youth Programming for the Brooklyn Dance Festival, teaches at Broadway Dance Center in New York City and is a member of several artists’ unions.
