Sincere gratitude to our alumni, friends, businesses, faculty and staff who gave to
Wilkes last year. Thanks to your philanthropy, Wilkes continues to make life better
for current students by providing scholarships, financial aid, library books, technology,
and other necessities. Nothing touches the lives of Wilkes students as much as the
Wilkes Fund (formerly called the Annual Fund).
As Wilkes students pursue their academic degree, resources must be replenished each year to meet and help with the rising cost of academic programs not covered by tuition. Contributions to the Wilkes Fund from generous alumni, who find a way to give every year, enable the University to make great strides toward excellence in every area and discipline.

Matching gifts allow you to double, or possibly triple your gift, and are credited in full toward leadership gift club membership.
Alumni giving is also one of the criteria used to rank colleges and universities in national surveys. Alumni participation is the key to the placement of the University, making your degree more prestigious. Your gift of ANY size publicly demonstrates your pride and helps the University continue its tradition of academic excellence.
Wilkes presents many cultural events annually through music, theatre, dance, lecture and art exhibitions. In addition, our Wilkes Community Conservatory attracts children from the community and allows them the opportunity to study and perform throughout the year in a University setting. Many of the cultural programs at Wilkes are free to the public.
Wilkes students share time, creativity, and compassion in 100 local agencies and programs each year. Beginning with Freshman Orientation, every student participates in an intensive day of service - reaching out to our community in a variety of ways – from mentoring children to beautifying the environment or as companions with seniors. Throughout the year, students learn, grow, and give by partnering with local charitable organizations.
Students look beyond local lines to respond on the national and international levels as well. Past participants of the Alternative Spring Break service program have traveled to sites in North Carolina, South Dakota, Oklahoma, Mexico, India and Poland, extending the spirit of giving and global solidarity.
