Dr. Rabbitt joined Wilkes University in July of 2015 as the Dean for the School of Education, bringing with her over twenty years of experience in a variety of educational settings. She began as a public high school Spanish teacher and most recently served as the Assistant Dean for the School of Education at Viterbo University in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Prior to that, Dr. Rabbitt led graduate programming at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse through service in a variety of roles.
Dr. Rabbitt has experience in strategic planning, accreditation, and relationship building. In service to her profession, she was President of the Wisconsin Independent Colleges of Teacher Education, a task force member of the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Continuous Review Process, and co-author of the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education at Viterbo University School of Education. Dr. Rabbitt researches and presents regionally and internationally on action research and transformational learning. She has served as judge for the ASQ Educational Team Excellence Recognition and as lead judge for the International Team Excellence Awards.
Dr. Rabbitt earned her B.S. in Business Administration and B.A in Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, her master’s degree in Secondary Education-Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, and doctorate degree in Educational Leadership and Change from Fielding Graduate University. Dr. Rabbitt is certified by the state of Wisconsin as a Professional Development Plan reviewer and by the American Society for Quality in Quality Management and Organizational Excellence.
