Maureen Schoch was recently appointed to the position of Assistant Professor of Nursing in the Nesbitt College at Wilkes University. She received her Baccalaureate degree in nursing from Villanova, a Master’s degree from Syracuse, and completed Doctoral work at Penn State. For the past 18 years she was a Nursing Instructor at Penn State in the Associates & RN to BS programs and taught in the classroom, online, through the World Campus, and utilizing blended formats. Her areas of specialization include: Fundamentals and Psych/Mental Health. Ms. Schoch is actively involved in developing strategies to enhance undergraduate student’s competence in formulating caring/healing relationships. Her pedagological interest is in the educational impact of using active and collaborative learning strategies in the traditional classroom setting, as well as online. She will be teaching Fundamentals in the accelerated BS program this fall, and Psych/Mental Health in the undergraduate program in the Spring.
