Professor Young serves as a part-time faculty and academic advisor for the Business Programs of Arizona for Wilkes University. He is also currently teaching at, or has taught at, Glendale Community College, Scottsdale Community College, Chandler-Gilbert Community College, Benedictine University at Mesa, and the University of New Mexico. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a Master of Science in Economics and Applied Mathematics from Arizona State University and a Master of Arts in Economics from UCLA. His areas of specialization include time series analysis, econometrics, speculative markets, and macroeconomics. Prior to arriving at Wilkes, Professor Young worked as an agricultural statistician and agricultural economist for the U. S. Department of Agriculture, as an independent econometric consultant, and as an econometrician for a small hedge fund. Professor Young has been published in, and has served as a referee for, The Journal of Statistical Computation & Simulation, as well as several conference proceedings.
