Welcome to the Office of Technology for Teaching and Learning!
The Office of Technology for Teaching and Learning (OTTL), formerly eLearning, provides support to faculty in any area related to teaching, technology, instructional design and much more. We can work with you on your face-to-face classes, online and hybrid to fully develop or just enhance your classes. We also provide professional development opportunities for faculty throughout the year and can do one-on-one meetings as well, just stop by or make an appointment with any of our instructional designers. To learn more about the variety of services and support we offer, visit the About Us page.
OTTL also provides a variety of resources including links to tools, articles, and tutorials for the various systems and platforms we support. We host various events throughout the year as well as share relevant events with other organizations. Visit these various resources and event details via the links at right.
Teaching With Technology Week 2018 Update
Thank you so much for another successful event! Attendance was up 24% over last year with many new faces joining us for the first time at the event. Every school/college was represented. We had 22 individuals earn the new TWT 2018 Attendee badge by attending at least three sessions and 13 people actually attended five or more sessions! There were 10 faculty presenters earning the TWT Presenter badge.
Congratulations to our prize winners:
- Sam Schmidt – Snowflake microphone
- Todd Truax – book: Small Teaching: Everyday Lessons from the Science of Learning
- Chuck Pierce – book: Teaching Online: A Practical Guide
If you missed any of the sessions or want to grab the slides, they are now available. Visit the TWT website to view them. You must be logged into your Wilkes account to access them.
We look forward to working with everyone over the course of the year as you try out all the new things you learned and hope to see you at TWT 2019!
