Dean ZbegnerOn behalf of our nursing faculty and staff, welcome to the Wilkes University Passan School of Nursing!

With over a 40 year history of educating nurses, the Passan School of Nursing offers an extensive array of undergraduate and graduate concentrations. Whether you are beginning your career, looking to change your career, or desire an advanced degree, Passan School of Nursing is the place for you. Our school has a strong commitment to the professional practice of nursing.  Faculty and staff are dedicated and resourceful providing students with personalized attention. From traditional in class settings to total online delivery, our school offers innovative curriculum at the baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral levels.

When choosing any nursing program, curriculum, faculty, and learning environment are important considerations. Our school has a newly renovated nursing simulation center and faculty office/conference area to actively engage our students. Faculty are expert teachers and clinicians passionate about nursing education and assisting students to meet their optimum potential. Our many partnerships with local health care agencies assist to deliver excellent clinical learning environments for our students. All aspects of the academic programming are designed to foster student success.

The face of healthcare is rapidly changing and nursing is strategically positioned to address multiple challenges facing individuals, families, and communities.  Our graduates are bedside nurses, advanced practice nurses, educators, executives, researchers, and scholars, working to influence change and shape the future of our profession.   Healthcare reform, technological advances, an aging population, and increases in chronic illness contributes to the need for well-educated, clinically competent, healthcare providers.  Wilkes nurses are everywhere moving the profession forward from practice to policy.
