PGY1 in Community Pharmacy - Hartzell's

Hartzell’s Pharmacy/Wilkes University PGY1 Community Pharmacy Residency Program 
This is a PGY-1 pharmacy practice residency with an emphasis in community care, located in an independent community pharmacy setting.  The resident will participate, develop and refine patient care services including immunizations, medication therapy management, health and wellness screenings and community outreach education.  Disease state emphasis will include but is not limited to diabetes, immunizations, travel medicine, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and osteoporosis. Program elements also include ractice management, marketing, and reimbursement strategies. The resident will have additional longitudinal teaching responsibilities to Wilkes University, Nesbitt School of Pharmacy.  
Hartzell's PharmacyHartzell’s Pharmacy, established in 1968, is an independent family-owned pharmacy located in Catasauqua, Pennsylvania, which is located in the Lehigh Valley Area, approximately 90 minutes northwest of Philadelphia and 2 hours southwest of New York City. Clinical services offered at Hartzell’s Pharmacy include immunization and travel medicine clinics, medication therapy management, heath and wellness services, durable medical equipment, and respiratory therapy. Hartzell’s also offers medication services to assisted living facilities, and has a specialty compounding pharmacy,Hartzell's Compounding Pharmacy, within its facility.
