The Allan P. Kirby Center Showcase is an annual celebration of our continued development of the region's entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The Allan P. Kirby Center for Free Enterprise and Entrepreneurship’s second annual showcase was held on on Thursday, April 14 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the University Center on Main, 169 S. Main St. The showcase allowed attendees to meet entrepreneurs working with the Kirby Center and community partners supporting the center’s activities. Information about services and opportunities for businesses associated with the Kirby Center was also available.
The Allan P. Kirby Center enables Wilkes University students, faculty, staff, and community members to create a strategy to fully commercialize their business ideas and establish independent businesses that will enhance the entrepreneurial climate of Wilkes University and northeast Pennsylvania including specific efforts to support the redevelopment of downtown Wilkes-Barre.
The center is committed to teaching the nature of free enterprise, value creation, and entrepreneurship through curricular and experience-based activities. Services are offered in the following areas:

- Intellectual property management assistance
- Product/process development services
- Industry and community outreach
