Dr. Dan McCune holds a BS in...
pharmacy from Butler University in Indianapolis and was awarded a PhD in pharmacology by the University of Kentucky in Lexington. Additionally, Dr. McCune completed postdoctoral research studies at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
He made significant contributions to the characterization of the subcellular localization and signaling properties of the alpha1-adrenergic receptors that mediate smooth muscle contraction and contribute to the maintenance of systemic arterial blood pressure.
The author of numerous articles and abstracts,
and the recipient of fellowships and scholarships, Dr. McCune also received an Individual National Research Award (NRSA) from the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

the pharmacotherapy sequence and in the laboratory associated with the Human Anatomy & Physiology course. He is also responsible for our Immunology & Biotechnology course.
Dr. McCune is currently developing an elective course and initiating a research project entitled "Determinants of alpha1-Adrenergic Receptor Affinity & Efficacy."
