Biography
Dr. Wright joined Wilkes University... in 1999. He earned his PharmD from the University of Pittsburgh in 1998. After completing his doctorate, Dr. Wright completed a pharmacy-practice residency with the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System.
Dr. Wright maintains an active clinical practice... at the Wilkes-Barre VAMC in outpatient pharmaceutical care. He also established a post-doctoral pharmacy residency program in conjunction with his colleague at the Wyoming Valley Family Medicine Practice, Dr. Nicole Culhane.
His primary responsibilities at the VA include precepting the pharmacy resident and students, and providing direct patient care his primary clinical practice, the Medication Management Clinic.
Dr. Wright teaches hypertension and heart failure. He is the course coordinator for the cardiovascular module in Pharmacotherapeutics and the P-2 Pharmaceutical Care Lab within the School of Pharmacy.
Dr. Wright is also faculty advisor to the pharmacy leadership society (Phi Lambda Sigma) at Wilkes University.
He is a Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) and is the author of several journal publications and chapter author for the Nonprescription Handbook. He is recognized as an immunization provider and educator by the American Pharmacists Association.
