Finance and Support Operations at Wilkes University encompasses
four departments that touch every aspect of the college experience through the students, faculty, staff and alumni as well as the surrounding community. Our overall goal is to develop a lean, customer-focused support operations team. The four major administrative areas in the Finance and Support Operations division are the Controller's Office, Capital Projects and Planning, Campus Support Services, and Information Technology.
Each entity is responsible for specific roles.
The Controller's Office maintains and disseminates accurate
financial information to allow for the efficient use of resources. "Satisfy and minimize" rings true in the planning, management and accountatility of the University's financial demeanor along with student financial accounts and services.
Our Capital Projects and Planning division oversees
the long-term campus master plan, building renovations and new construction. CPP is also responsible for our Preventative Maintenance Program, which is designed to "Satisfy and Minimize" by scheduling and coordinating predictable replacements to minimize interruptions in service and control costs in an effort to satisfy the campus needs.
Campus Support Services is committed to "serve and protect Wilkes University."
These folks are everywhere; they are our public safety officers, service center representatives, custodial staff, landscapers, shuttle drivers, contract services, food service and bookstore. If you haven't encountered one of these smiling faces, you must be hibernating. They are truly committed to serve; they even wear pins that read "It IS my job."
Information Technology is an ever-changing entity
of the University campus. Wilkes incorporates information technologies to fulfill goals articulated in the University Mission. Reliable, efficient, and universal access to and sharing of information within and beyond campus boundaries is central to providing effective technology services. Information technologies are adopted, integrated, and systematically upgraded to provide University constituents with the tools needed to achieve excellence.
