Katelyn Corgan had ten kills and Michelle Oros added eight kills and five blocks to lead King’s College to a 30-14, 30-24, 30-15 Freedom Conference volleyball win over visiting Wilkes University on Wednesday night.
The Lady Monarchs improve to 22-10 overall and even their conference mark at 3-3. Wilkes ends their season with an overall record of 11-17 and a conference mark of 1-5.
Jessica Kandefer contributed seven kills and ten digs to the King’s attack. Katie Carr finished with three kills and a team-high 15 digs, while Erin Dugan contributed ten digs. The Lady Monarchs also got 32 assists and six digs from setter Jessica Luedeman.
Wilkes was led by the trio of Amanda Harlan, Alicia Vieselmeyer and Jillian Focht, who had seven kills apiece. Vieselmeyer also had four blocks in the match. Lady Colonels setter Nicole Hahn finished with four kills, 22 assists, three service aces, three blocks and 16 digs.

The Wilkes University volleyball team dropped a pair of matches at a tri-match hosted by Albright College on Saturday. The Lady Colonels suffered a 29-31, 30-25, 30-13, 30-24 loss to the host Lions in their first match of the day. Wilkes then suffered a 22-30, 27-30, 30-25, 30-18, 17-15 loss to William Paterson University in the nightcap. Wilkes sees their record slide to 11-16 overall.
Jillian Focht led the way against Albright with 15 kills, 12 digs and three aces. Amanda Harlan contributed 12 kills and six digs, while Alicia Vieselmeyer had 10 kills and 19 digs. The Lady Colonels also got 14 digs from Katherine Harrington and 39 assists, 16 digs and three aces from setter Nicole Hahn.
In the five-game loss to William Paterson Focht registered 14 kills and 15 digs for Wilkes. Vieselmeyer, who had 16 digs, and Harrington, who had 15 digs, finished with 13 kills apiece. Harlan added 11 kills, 11 digs and five aces to the Lady Colonels attack, while Kristen Linhart had a team-leading 26 digs. Hahn was credited with 50 assists, six kills, five aces and 17 digs.

The Wilkes University volleyball team split a pair of matches in a tri-match at Marywood University on Monday night. The Lady Colonels fell to Baptist Bible College by scores of 30-23, 30-22, 30-25 in their first match of the day. In the nightcap, Wilkes posted a 30-32, 30-25, 30-20, 3-25 win over Marywood. The split moves the Lady Colonels overall record to 11-14.
Jillian Focht led the Wilkes hitters in the loss to Baptist Bible with nine kills and 14 digs. Alicia Vieselmeyer contributed eight kills and 13 digs, while Kristen Linhart had six kills and 14 digs. Nicole Hahn handed out 26 assists and came up with 10 digs for the Lady Colonels.
Hahn had 54 assists and 19 digs to the lead the way in the four-game win over Marywood. Vieselmeyer, who had 16 digs, and Amanda Harlan, who had 10 digs, both cracked 19 kills to pace the Wilkes attack. Linhart chipped in with 14 kills and four blocks. Katherine Harrington added 10 kills and five blocks, while Focht came up with 14 digs.

DeSales University rallied after dropping the first game to post a 17-30, 30-24, 30-21, 30-26 win over Wilkes University in a Freedom Conference volleyball match on Tuesday night. The Bulldogs improve to 11-11 overall and 4-1 in the conference with the win. The Lady Colonels see their records move to 10-13 overall and 1-4 in conference play.
Alicia Vieselmeyer registered 21 kills and had 16 digs to lead Wilkes. Amanda Harlan added 16 kills and eight digs. The Lady Colonels got six kills apiece from Katherine Harrington and Kristen Linhart, and five kills from Jillian Focht. Harrington had 17 digs, Linhart had 16 digs and Focht chipped in with 10 digs. Wilkes setter Nicole Hahn dished out a match-high 41 assists to go along with 21 digs.

The Wilkes University volleyball team won a pair of matches on Saturday to run their winning streak to five straight. The Lady Colonels opened play at King’s College’s Scandlon Gym with a 28-30, 30-28, 30-22, 30-23 win over Montclair State University. In match number two, Wilkes knocked off the College of St. Elizabeth by scores of 30-23, 30-27, 30-18. The two wins up the Lady Colonels overall record to 10-12.
Alicia Vieselmeyer led the way in the win over Montclair State with 16 kills, 11 digs and eight blocks. Katherine Harrington chipped in with 15 kills and seven blocks, while Jillian Focht had 10 kills and 20 digs. Kristen Linhart added eight kills and 10 digs to the Wilkes attack, while setter Nicole Hahn finished with six kills, 42 assists and five service aces.
Linhart had nine kills and 12 digs in the win over St. Elizabeth. Vieselmeyer had nine kills and seven digs. Amanda Harlan also had nine kills, while cracking seven service aces. Focht contributed eight kills and 12 digs. Hahn ended the match with 37 assists and three aces.

The Wilkes University volleyball team picked up their first Freedom Conference win of the season by knocking off Delaware Valley College, 30-17, 30-22, 30-12 in the Marts Center on Wednesday night. The win improves the Lady Colonels to 8-12 overall and 1-3 in the conference, while the Aggies fall to 5-11 overall and 0-3 in conference play.
Senior Alicia Vieselmeyer enjoyed a record-setting night for Wilkes. The middle hitter broke the school’s career record for kills by smacking 17 against the Aggies. Vieselmeyer now has 1,106 kills, breaking the previous record of 1,093 set by Wendy O’Connor from 1992-95.
Vieselmeyer also contributed seven digs and four service aces to the Wilkes attack. Jillian Focht finished with 10 kills, five service aces and six digs. Amanda Harlan was next on the list for the Lady Colonels with eight kills, while Kristen Linhart contributed five kills and three blocks. Wilkes setter Nicole Hahn was credited with 30 assists and three aces.
Stephanie Knox and Andrea Held had four kills apiece for Delaware Valley. The Aggies also got 13 assists and 13 digs from Bonnie Zobel and a match-high 16 digs from Jackie Holdsworth.

The Wilkes University volleyball team swept a pair of matches on Saturday. The Lady Colonels opened the tri-match with a 30-26, 30-28, 30-22 win over SUNY Old Westbury. In the nightcap, Wilkes topped host Centenary College 30-26, 30-24, 30-22.
The Lady Colonels improve to 7-12 with the two victories. SUNY Old Westbury falls to 12-4 overall, while Centenary sees their record slip to 5-11.
Jillian Focht led the way in the win over SUNY Old Westbury with 13 kills, 13 digs and four service aces. Alicia Vieselmeyer contributed six kills, 14 digs and four blocks. Katherine Harrington added seven kills and seven digs. Setter Nicole Hahn handed out 29 assists and chipped in with 12 digs.
Focht concluded an outstanding day with 10 kills and 13 digs in the win over Centenary. Harrington had eight kills, while Kristen Linhart had five kills and 12 digs. Both Vieselmeyer and Amanda Harlan cracked four service aces. Hahn once again led the Lady Colonels in assists with 32. She also came up with 12 digs.

Lycoming College rallied from two games down to score a 27-30, 28-30, 30-27, 30-25, 15-7 Freedom Conference volleyball win over Wilkes University on Tuesday night in the Marts Center. The win improves the Warriors to 5-11 overall and 1-2 in the conference, while Wilkes slips to 5-12 overall and 0-3 in conference play.
Alicia Vieselmeyer led the way for Wilkes with 17 kills, 11 digs and six blocks. Jillian Focht added 15 kills, four aces and six digs. Amanda Harlan chipped in with nine kills and seven digs, while Kristen Linhart had seven kills, 14 digs and three blocks.
Wilkes setter Nicole Hahn enjoyed an outstanding night. She handed out 46 assists, had six kills and led the Lady Colonels with 26 digs.

In their first match of the day Wilkes dropped a 30-26, 26-30, 27-30, 31-29, 15-12 decision to Ursinus College. Alicia Vieselmeyer had 18 kills and 18 digs to lead the Lady Colonels. Jillian Focht chipped in with 13 kills, while Kristen Linhart had 10 kills, 12 digs and four blocks. Wilkes setter Nicole Hahn handed out 47 assists and came up with a team-high 19 digs.
Wilkes bounced back to post a 30-20, 28-30, 30-20, 30-26 win over Mitchell College. Vieselmeyer cracked 16 kills and had 12 digs for the Lady Colonels. Focht finished with 15 kills and nine digs, while Amanda Harlan had 11 kills and 16 digs. Hahn was credited with 39 assists and 18 digs as well.

The Wilkes University volleyball team dropped their first two matches at the two-day Elizabethtown College Tournament on Friday. The Lady Colonels suffered a 30-24, 25-30, 31-29, 30-28 loss to Neumann College in their opening match. In the nightcap Wilkes fell to host Elizabethtown by scores of 30-11, 30-25, 30-18. The losses drop the Lady Colonels to 4-10 overall heading into Saturday’s action.
Nicole Hahn had 46 assists, 21 digs and five services aces to lead Wilkes in the match with Neumann. Alicia Vieselmeyer led the hitters with 21 kills and 13 digs. Jillian Focht added 12 kills and 14 digs, while Kristen Linhart had 10 kills and 16 digs.
Hahn had 23 assists in the loss to Elizabethtown. Linhart had 15 digs to go along with six kills. Amanda Harlan led the Lady Colonels in kills with nine, while Vielemeyer chipped in with 12 digs.

Katie McManus had a match-high 17 kills to lead the Scranton hitters. Erica Dziuma contributed ten kills, while Heather Bradley had 13 digs. Jen McKeighan handed out 24 assists and added six service aces, and Cassie Dyer had 15 assists.
Wilkes was led by Alicia Vieselemeyer, who had eight kills, eight digs and five blocks. Amnda Harlan chipped in with six kills, Katherine Harrington had four kills and seven digs, and Jillian Focht finished with four kills and six digs. Jillian Focht had 12 kills, 18 digs and three blocks in the win over St. Lawrence. Alicia Vieselmeyer chipped in with 12 kills and 17 digs. Kristen Linhart had 11 kills, 16 digs and five blocks, while Amanda Harlan finished with 10 kills and nine digs. Nicole Hahn handed out 40 assists and came up with 13 digs as well.
Focht had nine kills and 11 digs in the loss to Mt. Aloysius. Katherine Harrington added eight kills and nine digs, while both Vieselmeyer and Harlan had seven kills. Linhart chipped in with six kills and 11 digs, while Hahn handed out 30 assists and nine digs.

Wilkes University suffered a pair of losses by identical 3-1 scores at the University of Scranton Volleyball Invitational on Friday. The Lady Colonels dropped a 29-31, 30-25, 30-11, 30-24 decision to New Jersey City University in their opening match. The squad followed that up with a 30-26, 20-30, 30-27, 30-11 loss to York College later in the night. The two defeats drop Wilkes to 3-6 overall heading into the second day of tournament play on Saturday.
Nicole Hahn led the way for the Lady Colonels in the loss to New Jersey City. Hahn had 27 assists, 18 digs and five aces. Alicia Vieselmeyer ended the match with 12 kills, seven digs and three blocks, while Amanda Harlan and Katherine Harrington had five kills apiece. Jillian Focht chipped in with 10 digs in the loss.
Hahn had 33 assists and 16 digs in the loss to York. Focht led the Wilkes hitters with 11 kills and 14 digs. Vieselmeyer added six kills and 16 digs, while Harrington had six kills and nine digs. Kristen Linhart contributed a team-high 17 digs as well.

The win improves the Devils to 5-3 overall and 1-0 in the conference, while Wilkes slips to 3-4 overall and 0-1 in conference action.
Michele Yered cracked 10 kills and Megan Redd added eight for FDU-Florham. Lindsey Flora handed out 26 assists and came up with 12 digs for the Devils. Ashley Flora chipped in with 14 digs.
Wilkes was led by nine kills from Amanda Harlan. Katherine Harrington added seven kills, while both Alicia Vieselmeyer and Jillian Focht had six kills. Nicole Handed handed out 27 assists and contributed nine digs, while Focht also had eight digs.

Nicole Hahn earned a berth on the All-Tournament after handing out 66 assists, cracking six aces and coming up with 30 digs in the two matches. Alicia Vieselmeyer finished the day with 25 kills and 26 digs. All-Tournament team member Jillian Focht added 17 kills, 14 digs and five aces. Amanda Harlan had 14 kills and 21 digs, while Kristen Linhart chipped in with 12 kills and 25 digs.

The Lady Colonels dropped a 30-18, 28-30, 30-19, 30-15 decision to the host Lady Monarchs in their first match. Wilkes rebounded to knock off Keystone College in three games, 30-26, 30-20 and 36-34.
The split for Wilkes moves their record to 2-1 heading into day two of the tournament. The Lady Colonels will meet both Marywood University and College Misericordia on Saturday.
Nicole Hahn had 74 assists, 23 digs and six service aces to lead Wilkes. Alicia Vieselmeyer finished the night with 20 kills and 25 digs. Jillian Focht had a team-high 24 kills, while Kristen Linhart chipped in with a team-best 26 digs.
