The Wilkes golf team has enjoyed its share of success throughout the years.
The Colonels, who will be competing for the 51st year as a varsity team this spring, have claimed three Middle Atlantic Conference titles over the years. The Blue and Gold won MAC crowns in 1971, 1972 and 1979.
The best season for Wilkes golf came in 1976. During that campaign the Colonels posted an overall regular season record of 16-0. They then went on to finish fourteenth at the NCAA Division III Championships. That season marked the only time that the Wilkes golf team fashioned a perfect record.
