Wilkes has been playing basketball for 59 years at the varsity level,
beginning with the 1946-47 season. After making only five post-season appearances during the first 46 seasons, the Colonels have made 13 appearances in the post-season during the last 15 years.
The past 15 years can certainly be deemed the glory years...
of Wilkes basketball. During that time Wilkes has amassed a record of 280 wins and 107 losses, while winning six Freedom titles and making six NCAA playoff appearances.
The 2000-01 season marked the first time that Wilkes had a player named a first team All-American. That player, Dave Jannuzzi, not only earned all-american status, but was also named the winner of the Jostens Trophy, awarded annually to the top player in Division III.

to the various conference all-star teams, nine players have earned All-ECAC honors and Regional All-American status, and two players, Jannuzzi and Matt LaBuda, have been named to the All-American team.
