- The LSAT is required for candidates who wish to apply to American Bar Association (ABA) approved law schools.

- Miller Analogies Test (MAT)
- The Miller Analogies Test (MAT) is a high-level, analytic ability test that requires the solution of problems stated as analogies. The MAT consists of 120 partial analogies that are to be completed in 60 minutes.
The MAT is intended to measure your ability to recognize relationships between ideas, your fluency in the English language, and your general knowledge of the humanities, natural sciences, mathematics, and social sciences. There is no foreign-language edition of the MAT. You are not permitted to use a dictionary or any other reference aid when taking the MAT.

- The Foreign Service Written Exam is the first step toward a career in diplomacy. The exam measures a candidate's knowledge and understanding of a range of subjects determined by a job analysis to be important to perform the tasks required of a Foreign Service officer.

- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
- If English is not your native language, some graduate schools may ask you to submit scores for the TOEFL. It evaluates English proficiency and is often required by colleges and universities in the United States, Canada, and those that instruct in English.
Download a bulletin, register for a test, or practice your skills on the TOEFL website.
Paper-based administrations of the TOEFL test will be offered in areas where computer-based testing is not available.
