Staff Reports:

Peggy: 
• 53 new students (15 freshmen, 38 sophomores)
• elimination of Absolute Priority
• WHAM! Grant approved for $3,600
     - Act 101 mentors work with new freshmen
     - Hired 4 mentors to work with 15 freshmen
     - Long-term goal of program is to have mentor stay with students through the mentor graduation.
• Bon-Ton fundraiser
• Planning for Pin Dinner and graduation

Stephanie: 
• 75% of seniors accepted to college
• financial aid night with Tom O’Donnell went very well
• Junior Seminar off to a great start

Mr. Ripa: 

• 34 seniors, 29 juniors, 50 sophomores, 15 freshmen for a total of 128 students

 

*Membership Committee 
• New members would begin in summer
• Consider another parent for the board
• Consider another teacher for the board (check with Jerry to see if he’s interested)

b) Fundraising Committee

• Basket raffle this summer to raise money 
- July 31st draw winners at Celebration of Achievement 
- Farmer’s Market 2 weeks prior to event

c) Alumni Scholarship Committee
 

• Vote to take $601.98 from March CD and put into savings – Donna motioned – Shawn 2nd
• Scholarship Committee: April 17th , 6:00 PM – Darlene, Shawn, Elaine (Albie as alternate?)

d) TRiO Day Committee:

Maria Suarez as keynote speaker
• Alumni Section
• Fundraising, networking, update contact lists, congressional update
• Donna will create agenda
• Sarah Lloyd will spearhead discussion

* Spring Meet & Greet – March 27th @ 5:30 in Stark 101 – Elaine, Donna Shawn, Darlene

* Continuing to collect printer cartridges and cell phones: Are there more businesses that will donate?
