Staff Reports:

Peggy:
Recently attended 2 grant writing seminars. There will be significant changes to the grant. Grant objectives are different.

Sarah:

Jrs will be attending LCCC College Fair. 43 Srs most of which have all met with Sarah. 2 have already received Acceptance letters. Application deadline was set for Halloween. The students are doing a lot of applying online.
Attended Trio Conference in Erie. Elaine Alto received a TRIO Achievers Award.

Chuck:

Fall Semester is going well. 43 Srs. SAT verbal/ math. SATs are November 5. On November 10 LCCC will be coming to speak to the Srs.

49 Jrs in writing seminar. All on track. November 10 is rough draft deadline and December 1 final paper is due.

Committee Reports:

Fundraising Committee:
* Wine Trip profits are approximately $1500.
* 2012 Wine Trip Planning is already in the mix.
* We are looking into the Poinsettia Fundraiser.

Membership Committee:
Meeting November 13 @ 2pm
Donna made a motion to invite 2 new members to the Board for the January meeting

NEW Committees:
Reunion Committee:
* 45th Reunion is coming up this summer.
*Pay it Back Party is being considered.
*Mardi Gras party is also being considered for February 18. (Deciding whether this will be a fundraising party as well.)
* Homecoming Party is also being considered for Fall 2012.
Student Interaction Committee:
We discussed ways to get together with the students to better open the doors of communication with them. We had a great time when we had interactions with them this summer and we want to keep that going.
Sue made a motion to spend $100 for Halloween and Winter treats for the students. That motion was second by Leanne.

Activities.
* Parents Association Meeting went well. We learned that the parents are looking for more interaction with the Association and Staff. We are trying to find ways to keep them in the loop better.
* Outreach (recruiting) went well. Anticipating accepting 45 new students this fall.
* Open House is November 6.
* Summer in the Winter is planned for January 7.
*LCCC College Fair October 20.

Old Business:

We discussed the Wine Trip and Ice Cream Social.

New Business:

* March CD – The March CD has $1,601.98 in it and is coming due for roll over. We will have $601.98 moved from the CD to the savings account and roll the remaining $1,000.00 back into the CD. * Discuss helping to finance the Pin Dinner.
* 45th Anniversary Celebration
* Newsletter was put on hold because we are currently utilizing Facebook.
* Status of New Committees.
