as soon as possible. The addition or deletion of credit hours may result in an overpayment or an underpayment of your benefits. If an overpayment occurs, the Veterans Administration will request that you repay the money. This might result in the witholding of your checks until the debt is paid to the Veterans Administration. The Tuition Deferment Form is available for download.
Just visit the Controller's office area of our website to access a link to it. This form must be completed prior to the start of each semester. The Controller's Office will not accept deferment after the first day of classes. There are NO exceptions to this rule. All deferred payments are due no later than the tenth (10th) day of the month following the end of the semester. Courses taken during the semester break will not affect your benefits.
However, if you wish to claim benefits for these courses you MUST notify the Veterans representative. Remember: We can only certify you for the courses for which Wilkes University will award you credit. If you are taking courses at another institution please provide the office with a copy of the transfer credit request form.
