Conyngham Center • 570-408-4150 (T) • 570-408-4907 (F) • Email

The Act 101 program helps you make...
the academic, personal and social transition to college by assigning a personal academic counselor to you so you have individual attention to guide you and keep you focused. This academic coach will listen to your concerns and share stategies that have helped others achieve their goals.

We offer a range of services to help you...
reach your potential in the classroom. These include, but are not limited to:

  • academic, career, and financial-aid guidance.
  • peer and professional tutoring in most subject areas.
  • professional study sessions in selected courses.
  • workshops to help you improve your performance.

To be a member of Act 101 you must be...
a Pennsylvania resident who demonstrates financial need to attend college.

There is no cost to be a member.
The PA Department of Education desires to assist more students to persist to graduation because of the overall benefit to the Commonwealth.

To become a member...
contact the Act 101 office on the third floor of Conyngham Hall. We look forward to hearing from you!

Wilkes has sponsored an Act 101 program...
since 1976, and has been helping students achieve their academic goals ever since. The program combines timely guidance services with comprehensive academic support to help students achieve their potentials.

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania established...
the Act 101 program in 1971, to assist more students to succeed in college. The reason for this investment is obvious: all stakeholders of the Commonwealth benefit when more of our citizens achieve their educational goals.
