Installation Information - Delegates and Special Guests

Location:
The Installation Ceremony will be held at the FM Kirby Center for the Performing
Arts, 71 Public Square, Wilkes-Barre, PA. Directions can be accessed at http://www.kirbycenter.org/plan/directions


Parking:
Free parking will be available at the James F. Conahan Transportation Center,
accessible from South Washington Street between East Market and Northampton Streets. Additional information regarding parking at the Kirby Center can be accessed
 

Check in:
Delegates and faculty are asked to check-in at the lower level of the Kirby Center
– accessible from a stairway in the Kirby Center lobby. If you will be accompanied by a guest, reserved seating for special guests is located at the Left Center section, rows C through H. University personnel will be available in this section to assist special guests in finding seats in the reserved section.


Academic Attire
:
Wilkes faculty, trustees, and alumni delegates have been invited to participate
in the procession for the Installation ceremony. Academic attire is required for official delegates. Delegates representing other institutions are requested to provide their own academic attire.                          


Robing:
Robing will begin at 10:00 AM on the Lower Level for Official Delegates, Faculty,
Alumni Class Representatives.
 

Academic
Procession:
Line-up for the academic procession will begin at 10:45 AM. The academic
procession will begin at 11:00 AM. The procession for official delegates will be according to the date of founding of their respective institutions.
 

Installation
Ceremony:
A musical prelude will precede the ceremony. The Installation Ceremony, beginning with the Academic Procession, will start at 11:00 AM. Tickets for the reserved section for special guests and guests of official delegates are enclosed.
University personnel will be available in this section to assist special guests in finding seats in the reserved section.
 
Reception:
A reception will be held immediately following the ceremony in the lobby of the FM Kirby Center.
