Dr. Rodney Ridley, Program Director
Dr. Rodney Ridley is the director of the Division of Engineering and Physics and associate professor of engineering. Dr. Ridley conducts research in micro and nano-fabrication technology and devices and holds more than 20 U.S. patents related to this work. After receiving his Ph.D. in Engineering Science from Penn State University, he was a Key Technologist at Fairchild Semiconductor, Mountaintop, Pa. and subsequently the Director of Process and Device Engineering at Velox Semiconductor.
Dr. Gregory S. Harms, Associate Director
Dr. Gregory Harms is assistant professor in the departments of biology and in the division of engineering and physics at Wilkes. His research focuses on developing optical microscopes such as confocal, sheet illumination and total internal reflection to study biological processes important in cancer, development and cardiovascular diseases. He previously led the microscopy facilities of the Bio-Imaging Center and Rudolf Virchow Center at the University of Würzburg, Germany where he also held a professorship in microscopy and biophysics. After earning his Ph.D. at the University of Kansas, he was a Fulbright scholar in Europe in Switzerland, in Austria and in the Netherlands and also was a staff scientist at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.
Dr. William B. Terzaghi, Associate Director
Dr. William B. Terzaghi is a professor in the department of biology since 1995. Dr. Terzaghi conducts research on plant cellular and molecular biology, genomics and whole plant physiology. After earning his Ph. D. at the University of Utah, he conducted post-doctoral research at the Carnegie Institution of Science’s Department of Plant Biology on the campus of Stanford University and at the University of Pennsylvania.
