For admission to a graduate program in Education, an applicant must have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution with an appropriate major and a teaching certificate. A Wilkes University graduate application and one-time application fee is required for both degree-seeking and special non-degree students. A graduate application must be received before you can register for your first course.
MS-degree-seeking candidates must have two letters of recommendation and official transcripts sent to Wilkes from their undergraduate colleges and any graduate schools attended where credits appropriate for transfer to Wilkes were earned.
Non-degree students do not submit recommendations, but must provide copies of their teaching certificates or undergraduate transcripts -- as evidence of their bachelor's degrees -- along with their graduate applications and processing fees.
You can enroll in your first course before you are officially accepted into the degree program but not without a graduate application on file. If you have questions on the status of your file for acceptance into the degree program (which recommendations or transcripts have been received and/or which are missing) contact Kathy Diekhaus, Coordinator of Graduate Studies, at x4160.
Prospective candidates follow guidelines outlined in the most current Wilkes University Graduate Bulletin for admission policies, procedures, degree requirements, course descriptions, etc.
