Wilkes University is an IRS approved Continuing Education (CE) provider for Registered Tax Return Preparers (RTRPs) and Enrolled Agents (EAs).

According to www.irs.gov, the following continuing education requirements are needed:

Enrolled Agents
- 72 hours every three years
  - Obtain a minimum of 16 hours per year (2 of which must be on ethics)
Registered Tax Return Preparers

Continuing education is not currently mandatory for tax return preparers who have a registered tax return preparer certificate or who were planning to obtain the registered tax return preparer designation. Participating in a continuing education program is voluntary.

Selected courses are held as live webinars that are broadcast from the Wilkes University campus. Currently the following webinars are scheduled:

In Person
Seminars are held at The Woodlands Inn & Resort, Highway 315, Wilkes-Barre. Registrations may be made by telephone, mail or fax. Payment by check or credit card (Visa or MasterCard) will be accepted.

Online
Participate from anywhere with our online webinars. Classes are broadcast live from the Wilkes University campus or from The Woodlands Inn & Resort. To test you system requirements for the webinars, please go to systemcheck.digitalsamba.com/ . You only have to pass the tests for the United States. A dial-up connection is not recommended.

Cancellations
Credit will be given for a seminar in the same fiscal year if the cancellation is received 24 hours prior to the seminar.
