Students in the Jay Sidhu School of Business and Leadership develop leadership potential while acquiring skills in the business disciplines of finance, international business, management, and marketing. As a Sidhu student, you begin this process in your freshman year when your team conceptualizes, designs, and operates your own business. Your exposure to business tasks builds during the following three years and culminates with your completion of a senior internship.
The faculty of The Sidhu School have designed
a program to enhance the development and nurturance of emotional intelligence and leadership potential in our undergraduate students, based on the faculty's own experiences with the qualities of a successful businessperson.
Our Business Administration faculty have had professional accomplishments as varied as developing a business curriculum for the Afghanistan Business Council for Peace, University of Kabul; predicting holiday spending for national broadcast and print media; and acting as a consultant for the United Nations.
Recent internships completed
by Business Administration majors include Morgan Stanley, AT&T, DisneyWorld, ESPN, The Gap, Lavelle-Miller Murray Advertising, the New Jersey Nets, VH-1, and Wyoming Valley Health Care Systems.
Students may also participate in the nationally-ranked Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) chapter, and the Secret Shopper Program, a service-learning project in partnership with the University's Small Business Development Center.
