Color Your World. Wilkes offers studies in both studio art and art history.
The program is distinguished by community art-project engagement: Miles of Mules, a charitable project of hometown pride (involving yes, painted mules) benefited from a Wilkes contribution; student talent has also been displayed in campus murals, prominent throughout our Student Center and library; and recently, downtown storefronts were adorned by student work.
Wilkes boasts studios for painting, printmaking, sculpting, and ceramics, as well as a photo darkroom and computer-graphics lab.
In addition to a minor program, art courses also support the Integrative Media program.
Art History Minor | 18+ credits The minor in Art History requires that students complete ART 140, ART 141, ART 240 and 6 credits of art history topics courses.
Studio Art Minor | 18+ credits The minor in Studio Art accepts any courses above the 101 level, with no more than 6 credits in art history.
