Nearly every college and university offers majors in business and a search on Amazon.com reveals well over a million business books in print. So it's apparent that you can get a basic education in the workings of business just about anywhere. But all the books in the world -- and most college programs -- can't give you the real-world experience or the emotional intelligence and maturity it takes to be a leader. The education you'll receive at Wilkes University will be different.
First of all, you'll most definitely be prepared for a specific career, but more importantly, we'll turn you into a great thinker and problem solver so you'll be ready to tackle any situation life throws at you. You'll get flexibility.
You can choose a highly-specialized major like accounting, pursue a more generalized major in Entrepreneurship which can teach you how to start and manage your own business, or develop your own specific course of study incorporating majors or minors from our other University programs. You'll also get personal attention.

seven semesters of what some have called "leadership boot camp." You'll be part of a team for four years, and build an actual business from the ground up beginning in your freshman year. You'll also be required to hold a leadership position outside of the program in sports or an extra-curricular activity. You'll graduate with a degree that can land you a great job.
