Introduction to atomic arrangements, crystal structures, imperfections, phase diagrams, and structure-property relations, fundamentals of iron, steel, and non-ferrous materials, behavior of materials in various environmental conditions, exposure to nano-structures, application of various materials to design and manufacturing.
EGR 140. Computational and Statistical Analysis Three credits
An introduction to computer programming using C++ and MATLAB, Probability and Statistics. Application of programming to solve problems in science and statistics. Ethical, privacy, and security issues. Two-hour lecture and two-hour laboratory per week.
