Born in 1931 and growing up in the Coney Island section of Brooklyn, as a youth, George Gabin showed a precocious talent in art, beginning his formal studies at the School of Brooklyn Museum. While still in high school Gabin won a scholarship to study at the Museum of Modern Art and was included in an exhibition at the museum a short year later. (More)
The Sordoni Art Gallery is open to the public and is located at 150 South River Street in the Stark Learning Center on the Wilkes University campus. The Gallery is open Tuesday through Sunday, from 12 noon to 4:30 p.m. The Gallery follows the University schedule and is closed during Holidays and University breaks, admission is free.
