Individuals who dream of writing a screenplay, novel or memoir can get started by attending classes offered in Mesa by Wilkes University. Two, 10-week courses will be offered in March.
Classes are open to the public and appropriate for adults at any educational level. Classes are sponsored by the University’s master of arts/master of fine arts degree program in creative writing. Cost of attendance is $350. Students wishing to take the courses to earn graduate credit will pay $1,902. .
The classes being offered are:
Write That Novel Or Memoir
Wednesdays, 6 to 9 p.m.
March 13 to May 15
Learn how to identify and build the story you want to tell. In this class, you will work to complete the first draft of your novel or memoir under the guidance of an accomplished writer. Limite 10 students.
Write That Screenplay
Thursdays, 6 to 9 p.m.
March 14 to May 16
This class will teach you the nuts and bolts of developing, writing and formatting a screenplay. Write the first draft of your film by the conclusion of this course. Limited 10 students.
