Within our Management Development Program, you will discover new business frameworks, explore diverse perspectives, and master new skills. You will be thinking and acting differently and have the confidence to positively lead, grow and change yourself and your business.
1. Personal Development & Leadership for Managers (6 hours)
You are now in a position that requires you to manage and supervise a team, department, or division. The basic platform for building on your management talent and potential is to gain an increased understanding of human behavior, so that you can effectively lead your team and leverage the proper resources to achieve your organizational objectives. This course will leave you with insight into your personal and professional leadership potential; identify tools and techniques that will help you to motivate and lead more effectively; and show you how to harness your individual and team strengths to achieve extraordinary results.
2. Effective Management Communication (6 hours)
The higher one moves within an organization, the more important the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. In order to be successful, managers must have the ability to communicate both upward and downward in an organization, in a variety of settings. This course will explore the very nature of communication and examine all of the elements of the communication process, leaving you with a competitive edge over those who struggle with this important management skill.
3. Successful Coaching & Mentoring (6 hours)
The success of a manager/supervisor is measured by the success of those who directly report to him/her. Accordingly, two of the most important leadership skills for development at the management level are coaching and mentoring. This course will give managers the basic tools they need to develop their employees, and to begin to take on the role of coach/mentor. Through role playing and working through hypothetical situations, you will have an opportunity to test your skills and to further develop them.
4. Improving Performance through Strategy & Goal Achievement (6 hours)
Anyone who wants a deeper understanding of how to best manage the expectations, complexities and personal risks involved in a project will benefit from learning effective processes to evaluate, select and prioritize all work, projects, and resources that are aligned with the business strategy.
This course will provide managers at every level of experience with a structured methodology that links strategic planning with execution processes.
5. Managing Differences (6 hours)
Over 50% of a manager’s time is spent dealing with people-related issues. As work units become more diverse, the manager’s role becomes more complicated. Only those who understand, accept and capitalize on these differences will prevail. This session offers practical steps for effectively managing a group of diverse employees, comprising different generations, nationalities, ethnicities, education levels, etc. Participants learn how to align individual needs with the goals of the department, leading to improved teamwork, innovation and profitability.
