This theme house has a strong connection with our Community Service office. Instead of an RA, a VISTA (Volunteer in Service to America) lives on premesis and coordinates resident service activities and monthly dinners. Unlike other campus apartment buildings, the Community Service House admits first-year students. Applications are necessary and are available through the offices of Community Service and Residence Life. you might have referred to your "339" dorm as one of the "Lakeside" Apartments, despite its location in residential Wilkes-Barre. The home, along with neighbors 321, 325 & 327 and 360 & 362, once made up a group of private apartments owned by Lakeside Realty. In 1999, Wilkes acquired the buildings and converted them into apartment-style dorms. Students moved in during the fall semester of that year. According to the plaque...
