Now this is luxury!
Stained glass is grand and intricate woodwork is spectacular, but sometimes true luxury comes from having a washer and a dryer in your apartment.
This kind of grandeur is probably wasted on freshmen so let them have the sprawling mansions. 325 & 327 are reserved for upperclassmen with truly discerning taste.

If you were at Wilkes around 1999...
you might have wondered how your South River Street became part of Lakeside Apartments.
The double-block style building, and its neighbors 321, 339, and 360 & 362, once made up a group of private apartments owned by "Lakeside" Realty. In 1999, Wilkes acquired these buildings, converted them into apartment-style dorms, and opened them for the fall semester. We're not sure how the realty company got its name!
According to a plaque...
on the front of this building, it was constructed circa 1890.
