Criteria for Selecting Graduate Assistants
1. Regular admission to the program or current student with good academic standing (3.0 GPA or higher)
2. Students admitted under Conditional Classification may apply for an assistantship after completion of nine semester hours of graduate credit with a cumulative average of 3.0 or higher.
3. Completion of Graduate Assistant on-line process
4. Ability and willingness to perform duties outlined in job posting and assigned by the Director/Department Chair of the respective program.
Position Title • Graduate Assistant for the IME Program Department • Sidhu School of Business & Leadership Classification • Description:
Job Duties: Provides research and support for projects managed and supported by IME Program. Specific responsibilities for the 2014 – 2015 academic years include:
Coordinating the Integrated Management Experience (IME) businesses and providing the financial oversight for the teams
Providing other support to the IME faculty as needed
Assist with online course materials and testing it live
Coordinating iPad distribution and tracking
Assisting students with technology issues
Coordinating product orders or supply orders
Coordinating reimbursements as needed
Coordinating with inventory management and cash deposits
Coordinating check cutting for SCA projects
Hours of service per week: 17 hrs.
Educational value of assistantship: The incumbent of this position will continue the development of his or her leadership and management skills by working on key programs that foster the development of undergraduate students with the academic, co-curricular, and extracurricular environment. Project management and organizational skills will be enhanced through the organization and implementation of key university programs and activities.
