Every child has the potential to learn music. Birth to age five is perhaps the most critical time in every individual's musical life - a time when children are naturally fascinated with sound and movement as they teach themselves how to function in the world. According to leading music educator and researcher Edwin E. Gordon, children learn music in much the same way they learn a language, and should experience music during the early development of the brain. Through singing, chanting, movement and rhythm activities shared by parent and child, this 6-week course will begin to increase your child’s ability to audiate (think music) and give structure to improvisation, laying the foundation for a lifetime of music.
