Lenore Hart – Novelist, Poet, Essayist.

Lenore Hart is the author of seven novels, including Waterwoman (Barnes & Noble Discover Award), Ordinary Springs, Becky: The Life and Loves of Becky Thatcher, and Black River, and, in Norway and Sweden, Dark Woods (Svart Frikt) and Black River (Sort Elv). The Raven’s Bride, published by St. Martin's Press in 2011, will be released in Portuguese and Brazilian editions in 2012. Her books for children are T. Rex at Swan Lake and a YA novel, The Treasure of Savage Island. Her short stories, memoirs, essays, articles, poetry, lyrics, and reviews have been published or won awards in the U.S., Canadacandinavia, and South America. She’s been a writer in residence or visiting professor at Florida State University, Flagler College, The New College, Old Dominion University, The U.S. Naval Academy, Florida College, George Mason University, Elizabethtown College, and Old Dominion University. She’s received grants, awards, and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, The Virginia Commission for the Arts, The Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, The Florida Fine Arts Council, and Old Dominion. Her writing has been featured on Voice of America, in Poets and Writers, and the PBS series Writer To Writer. She is also on the faculty of the Norman Mailer Writers’ Colony in Cape Cod.
