Service Summary In 2005, the Wilkes University Small Business Development Center provided the following services: ~ Over 5,000 hours of consulting to 390 entrepreneurs and small businesses ~ 43 educational programs attended by 882 entrepreneurs and small business owners ~ Answered 729 requests for information and assistance ~ Helped clients obtain over $4 million in start-up and expansion capital Impact By providing entrepreneurs and small businesses with the tools they require to build and grow successful businesses, the Wilkes University Small Business Development Center is having a positive impact on the Commonwealth. In 2005, the Wilkes University Small Business Development Center helped clients achieve the following: ~ Start 56 new businesses ~ Create 755 new jobs The Wilkes University Small Business Development Center’s efforts contribute significantly to the overall impact of the Pennsylvania Small Business Development Center program.
