Service Summary
In 2010, the Wilkes University Small Business Development Center provided the following services:

• Over 5,024.50 hours of consulting to 357 entrepreneurs and small businesses
• 24 educational programs attended by 818 entrepreneurs and small business owners
• Answered 817 requests for information and assistance
• Helped clients obtain over $3.5 million in start-up and expansion capital

Impact
By providing entrepreneurs and small businesses with the tools they require to build and grow successful businesses, the Wilkes University Small Business Development Center is having a positive impact on the Commonwealth. In 2010, the Wilkes University Small Business Development Center helped clients achieve the following:

~ Start 52 new businesses
~ Create 155 new jobs

The Wilkes University Small Business Development Center’s efforts contribute significantly to the overall impact of the Pennsylvania Small Business Development Center program.
