Scott Bolesta, associate professor of pharmacy practice at the Wilkes University Nesbitt College of Pharmacy and Nursing, has been named a participant in the American College of Clinical Pharmacy Focused Investigator Training Program.
The intensive five-day, hands-on program invites up to 18 experienced pharmacist-investigators who have not yet been awarded significant peer-reviewed external funding as principal investigators to participate. Participants in the mentored program will take the necessary steps toward preparing an application for submission to the National Institutes of Health or other major funding source. Admission to the program is competitive, and Bolesta was chosen because of his potential in research.
Separately, Bolesta was awarded financial support from the American College of Clinical Pharmacy’s critical care Practice and Research Network for tuition support for this program. Earlier this year he was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine.
