Wilkes University will host an information session from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 7, for adults interested in pursuing an advanced degree or certification in a variety of academic fields.
Faculty will be available to discuss master’s programs in bioengineering, business administration, creative writing, education, electrical engineering, engineering management, mathematics, mechanical engineering and nursing. University staff will answer questions regarding financial aid and admissions procedures.
Master’s degree programs for educators include online teaching, school business leadership, instructional media, classroom technology, early childhood literacy, middle level education, reading with reading specialist certification and teaching English as a second language.
Doctoral programs are available in education (Ed.D.) and nursing (D.N.P.).
Adults wishing to complete their degree can learn about the adult bachelor of business administration program. Adults who possess a bachelor’s degree and are looking to change careers can explore the accelerated baccalaureate degree in nursing for second-degree students. A transfer counselor will be on hand to review transcripts and discuss the transfer process.
Tuition varies by program and financial aid is available to those who qualify.
The information session begins with registration and refreshments. It takes place in the second-floor Miller Room of the Henry Student Center, located at 84 W. South St. Free parking is available at the rear of the building.
