Faculty Survey Results Available (Assessment Involvement)

At the start of the 2012-13 academic year, faculty were surveyed with a ‘Faculty Involvement in Assessment’ Survey to indicate their level of involvement in various tasks related to student learning outcomes (SLO) assessment.  One-hundred and one (101) full-time and twenty-eight (28) adjunct faculty responded to the survey.  Survey questions fell into either of two general categories:  assessment leadership and collaboration, or assessment development and support.  Questions focused on faculty members’ involvement in SLO assessment at both the program and general education levels.

The results of the survey were included within the recently accepted monitoring report to Middle States, supplementing direct evidence of student learning assessment.  These results, along with the monitoring report, assert the commitment of Wilkes faculty to monitoring the learning experience, ensuring students receive a quality education.  Please see a brief summary of the survey results attached (032012_Faculty Survey Assessment Involvement_2011_2013 Results Overview.pdf).

Please contact Brian Bogert (brian.bogert@wilkes.edu) in the Office of Information, Analysis & Planning with questions about the survey or analysis.
