WILKES-BARRE, PA. (Feb. 21, 2013) – Teachers seeking to further their career with a master ‘s degree in Educational Development and Strategies can now take courses at the Tidioute Community Charter School in Forest County, Pa.
The master’s degree in Educational Development and Strategies is a program offered by Wilkes University in partnership with Performance Learning Systems Inc. (PLS), an educational services company with whom the university has offered graduate education courses for over 25 years.
The program is 30 credits, including 18 credits of core Wilkes courses offered at the tuition rate of $403 per credit. Tuition deferment is available. 12 credits of PLS courses complete the program requirements.
The program’s first course will be offered this spring. The PLS course, ED 542: Meaningful Activities to Generate Interesting Classrooms (M.A.G.I.C.), will begin on Friday, March 8. The course is taught by John Schmitt. Students who start the program in March can complete the degree by summer 2014.
