On behalf of the Senior Vice President/Provost Search Committee, I am pleased to provide this update to the campus community.

A Provost Search web site (http://www.wilkes.edu/pages/4448.asp) has been created with information about the search. There you will find a listing of the search committee members, the President’s charge to the Committee, the search prospectus and the search timeline.

The Committee has met four times during the fall semester (September 27, November 29, December 13 and December 20). At the final meeting of the fall semester, on December 20, seven candidates were selected to be invited for neutral-site interviews in Philadelphia on January 18 and 19.  I am happy to report that all seven candidates have accepted our invitation to meet with the Committee.

Based on the neutral-site interviews, the Committee will invite finalists to Wilkes-Barre for on-campus interviews that will take place beginning the week of January 28.

The Committee intends to present its final report to President Leahy during the week of February 11.
