WILKES-BARRE, PA. (Nov. 15, 2012) – Wilkes University’s Civic Band will present a concert, Made in America, directed by Philip Simon, on Sunday, Dec. 9, at 3 p.m. in the Dorothy Dickson Darte Center. The concert is free and open to the public.

Made in America includes music composed by Americans and immigrants who made their home in the United States. Featured pieces include Lincolnshire Posey by Percy Grainger, Variations on A Shaker Melody by Aaron Copland, Free Lance March by John Philip Sousa, Bugler’s Holiday by Leroy Anderson, and more.
