Wilkes University presents its fall 2009 musical production, Kevin Hammonds and Charles Miller’s Brenda Bly: Teen Detective. This exuberant musical mystery features a cast of Wilkes University students and is directed by Teresa Fallon.
Brenda Bly, Teen Detective, is a rollicking good show for audiences of all ages. The year is 1958 and trouble is brewing at the Whitney Ellis Private School for Girls. Only days away from the opening night of "Rocket Girl: The Musical," the leading lady is knocked unconscious with a sandbag. It’s up to teenage private eye, Brenda Bly, to solve the crime, catch the crook and save the day. Packed with show-stopping songs and rip-roaring dialogue, Brenda Bly: Teen Detective is guaranteed to be family-friendly fun!
Performances will be held at the Dorothy Dickson Darte Center on Fridays and Saturdays, Nov. 13-14 and 20-21 at 8 p.m. and Sundays, Nov. 15 and 22 at 2 p.m. Ticket prices are $15 general admission and $7 for students and senior citizens.
