The Leadership Institute functions as the coordinating body for...
all Student Affairs Leadership Programs. It was created to educate, develop, mentor and provide continuous opportunities to enhance the leadership skills of students and members of the community.

By offering a variety of leadership programs and services that promote self-awareness, problem solving, service learning and multi-cultural issues, the Institute aims to empower students to explore their own personal leadership styles.

Leadership Institute has four different assessment instruments...

constructed from wood, cable and ropes. All of our elements were designed according to industry standards by EdVentures Builders, who are technical experts in the field. A few of the benefits of adventure training include:
  • Building trust among group members
  • Developing a stronger sense of self
  • Building communication and planning skills
  • Learning how to give and receive support
  • Performing under pressure
Each group interested in participating in a training must set up a meeting with a student development staff member at least two weeks prior to your desired date.  A certified staff member will work iwht you to determine your team's goals and then select a sequence activities that offer increasing challenges for the group.  Each activity is followed by a reflective debriefing to draw out the learning.
