Are you a busy professional who
can’t be tied down to going to class each week?
Maybe an online program is for you. Online courses allow students the flexibility to do coursework at a time that is convenient for them. Students log into a course interface through the Internet to view course content, participate in discussions, submit assignments and chat with classmates.

Instructors are only an email away so you always have help when you need it. Remember, our instructors are teachers and mentors. They will be there to guide students through discussions and chats as well, so you are never alone in your course.

Other Features of the Programs...
Although Wilkes is a private university, the graduate education courses are offered at the State System of Higher Education (SSHE) tuition rate. In addition, participants can defer the payment of this tuition until the course is complete. More details can be found under the link at the left.

All graduate level education courses meet current Act 48 requirements. Participants don't need to do anything special to have their credits reported to the PDE. Course information will be posted approximately four-six weeks after the semester ends.

If the student's schedule allows it, some programs can be completed in as little as 18 months. The Master of Science degree in Education at Wilkes is a non-thesis degree program, but meets all requirements as dictated by the accrediting agencies.
