He helped me adjust to school.
Mark Allen (left) “Wilkes is a student-centered community. It’s important in students’ success. It’s part of our culture, and brings out the best in the student, the community, and the school.”
“Mentoring is a dynamic experience; both parties benefit from it. The more one understands about the other, the more meaningful the dialogue. This was an important factor in Candice’s leadership role. Her interest and enthusiasm were evident. We worked together to pull out those skills and hone them.”
Candice Davis (right) “Dean Allen was the first person I met at Wilkes.”
“I’m interested in Student Government. As it turned out, he was our advisor. He helped me adjust to school. I think of myself as a leader and I want to model my leadership skills after him. He’s a person you can confide in and look up to and that makes the Wilkes experience even better!”
