*The Nursing Department provides advanced-credit examinations for applicants to enter the program at their levels of competency. Transfer RN and LPN students are required to have personal interviews with the department chair or the chair's designee to plan their programs before they can be accepted into the Wilkes Nursing Program. Registered-nurse students and students who have completed programs of study and are eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN are required to complete NSG 299 and successfully pass a comprehensive examination of validation of prior learning. When these two requirements are met, credit will be awarded for NSG 171, 202, 203, 204, 273, and 301. Licensed Practical Nurses may also be eligible for advanced placement credit after completing a series of examinations.
